So what is Snapshot and how can it help your company?
Snapshot is a Preactor dashboard application that is designed to give immediate visual feedback to Preactor users without ever leaving the sequencer screen. Snapshot instantly converts the scheduling data into business information.
This turns Preactor from a number cruncher into a decision support system because it allows the scheduler to quickly evaluate the effectiveness of a schedule based on a number of pre-defined, color-coded Indicators. The Indicators are recalculated in real time every time a change is made to the schedule, even after a drag and drop.
Snapshot Express is available for free and it can be easily added to any existing Preactor model. It provides a limited number of Snapshot Indicators and users do not have the ability to modify existing Indicators, create new Indicators or Import/Export Indicators.
Snapshot Pro V1.1 provides users with some significant benefits such as the ability to:
• customize existing Indicators
• create new Indicators using any field in the Preactor Orders table including EVALUATE fields.
• create Indicators for any time period such as a month a week and a day.
• export and import Indicators from one Preactor model into another.
Perhaps the most powerful Snapshot capability is the ability to do real time, detailed What-If analysis:
As the name implies, Snapshot gives users the ability to take a snapshot of all the indicators and use them as a baseline. This not only gives you the ability to do faster and easier what-ifs, it allows you to quickly compare as many indicators as you want.
